Our annual budget is around R10 million ($1 million). None of this goes on fundraising and only around 12% on management and administration.

In addition to running costs we need capital funds to build our new centre. Every little helps! Many of our large grants have lots of strings attached as to how the money can be spent. Small donations from individuals like you are vital to give us flexibility to deal with unexpected events or pay for things which big funders don't like to fund. If you look at the list below, you will see that if you prefer, you can support us without it even costing you any money!

Commission from internet shops

If you do a lot of online shopping, you can join Froggy Bank. You will then earn commission on purchases you make which you can donate to us, through FOTCHSA or keep for yourself. When you join, we will get 2.50 GBP. Follow the link below:

Organise a sponsored event

Why not think up something you can do and be sponsored for to raise money for us? Run a marathon, climb a mountain, memorise a poem... It doesn't matter how old or young you are. It is easy to set up a website for donations at www.justgiving.com. Friends of the Children is already registered as a charity there.

Raise money while browsing the internet

Add the "Goodsearch" toolbar to you web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or Firefox) and use it instead of Google or Yahoo as your search engine.
Every time you search, money will be generated for Artists for a New South Africa. This costs you nothing, but will help us and the other charities being supported by this organisation. Just click on the link below to get started. If enough people do this, it could raise a lot of funds for us!
