Recession blues

Like many NGOs we are struggling as the recession hits giving to our donors and funds dry up. We are economising wherever we can; no more refreshments at training meetings and workshops, using public transport and motorbikes rather than cars and trucks to get out into the community. We are hoping not to have any job losses, but we are careful about not replacing people if they leave (not that we have a high turnover with such high unemployment in the district) unless they are in a vital post.I am also looking at installing solar power to save on electricity. We have the panels which were donated, but not the batteries, the brackets to mount the panels or the expertise to put everything together!
